Phillipians 1: 1-14
At Radiant Life Community Church in Sioux
City, Iowa on June 2, 2024, this message was given by Micaiah Cvrk to those in
attendance.
1. God has a plan for you, but you have to walk
it out. As with the Israelites, God
has made us promises but we must show up in faith for Him to move. In other words, He partners with us to
accomplish the works He has for us.
2. Paul
wanted believers to experience God for themselves. Again, God is a God of
action not stagnation. Life with God
means engagement with Him in a daily walk.
3. Paul
wanted them to go farther than book knowledge. What good is the teaching of God in our minds
if it never gets to our hearts? Once we
receive it with love, our actions naturally follow.
4. Paul
wanted the fruits to become the character in their life. Building on the first three points, God’s
work of individual sanctification comes next as we work to conform ourselves to
Jesus’ character. We are to abide in His
love while we work.
5. God
desires us to want to, not just empty commands. God lavishly pours upon us His love. As His children, we naturally want to please
Him.
Finally,
this core principle: I do not fully understand, but I fully trust. God partners with us to reveal His Son in
us. When trials come, we submit to Him
and change. We faithfully take our
testimonies to others. We often do not
see the whole plan, but we are to keep moving and keep growing.
Thus concluded the message.
