Your Body Is A Temple

Your Body Is A Temple

“Beginning of the End” – Bride

Romans 12

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Abortion is on the docket again this year.  It must be a hard plank driven into the soul of a party to guarantee a women a right to choose like standing in front of a vending machine.  Fifty cents buys convenience and down drops the received gratification.  Eating the insides and discarding the wrapper on the floor, back to work unencumbered.

Praise to the ones that answer the higher calling!  Children take work.  Bending, twisting and vaulting everyday hurdles just to make sure the nutrition gets to their mouths in time.  Crying and whining in the middle of the night while mom sleeps with one eye open.  Thanks again, Mom.

DNC.  Do we have to expound on this medical term?  I think most women would know.  Every year in their checkups, they are faced with the gamut of images so threatening to bruise their souls.  Thankfully, night comes and erases the cares of the previous day.  But what if night does not do its job?

DNC of a little one cries a silent cry.  Deep within mom’s mind wonders where her femineity went.  Is she worth more than breeding cattle aborted in the dung of a man’s artificial insemination?  Does she have worth?  If little one was flushed, what does that mean about the carrier?

Molech stood on the hill.  His arms outstretched, beckoning the ones to come near and conceive his ill-gotten promise.  Better harvest, more rain, abundance!  Life in luxury here on this earth.  Ironically this was the straw that broke the Lord’s back.

Babylon sent its army with teeth gnashing.  A recompense of nations around her, yet God had a beef with Israel itself.

Jerimiah 19:5 “They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:

God does not require child sacrifice, so why do we?  Wow!  What mask have we thrown to the prince of the power of the air!  Civility comes in a guise of clean and sterile instruments upon a workbench paid for by the democratic populace.  Money cleaned through laundering that our removed eyes may not behold the bloody mix of Mary.  She did not, you know.   Bethlehem offered no preterm services.  Throwing baby Jesus to the wolves made no sense.  It took Gabriel to tell her everything was on the up and up.

Why doesn’t an angel tell the frightened ones that it’ll be ok today?  Church!  An unplanned pregnancy most of us have witnessed.  In marriage or not, fear usually accompanies as we churn in anxiety of how we are to provide for another.  Afterall, the college experience costs more than $100,000 right?  A true education takes sacrifice.  Do we ring up Molech and ask if he’ll make a house call?

Faith puts out his fire.  Do I have to remind you?

Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

And…

Psalm 177:Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

God kinda likes kids.  I know I do.  “But pastor,” you say, “you don’t know my situation!”  The back alley calls in its tyranny of urgency.  Whoa, the fetus’ heartbeat may start and resonate upwards.  Time is burning and the ballot is given to extend the termination.  Seeing the head between the legs, we finally puncture with Moby’s spear.

DNC.  Let it not be.  Women, you will hurt for murder.  Unsaved or saved, motherhood runs through your veins.  He has so designed you this way.  Please do not fight it.  Your tears may fall forever.
