We Come Together

 

We Come Together

      When all things are brought under Him, we shall rejoice.  When all saints meet, true fellowship will last forever.  Many have gone before.  All will be summed up under His wings.  We come together.  It is our destination.

     Gatherings now are but a shadow of light unveiled to come.  As ones about a fire, our faces will glow with the radiance of the Source.  It is His promise.  Our given faith we have rested upon His word.

     Forever is a long time.  Do we really want to be with Him for a time undetermined?  Forbearing Hell and ignoring punishment, can we say we want to be in His presence without end?  The Man we have so learned.  His spirit of meekness and gentleness yet challenging as Master.  Are we under His rule today?  Are we settled with His authority?  Clearly Heaven obeys.  There is no room for variance.

     Heaven can be a scary place.  Absolute faith in His word.  Absolute trust in His divine nature.  If we have not met Him down below, how can we enter into this relationship to come?

     Our job – to reassure ones we meet here that God is worthy.  Tell of what He has done for us.  Testify of His faithfulness in keeping His word.  Instances of providence.  Healings.  Gradual movements to the good.  Resistance overcome.  Radical transformations.  Answers to prayer.  Like mindedness enjoyed amongst spiritual family.  A looking forward to the future when the Church be forever united with Him.  We have this responsibility. 

     We come together.  It is important to speak definitely.  He states it.  It will happen.  Will we want it?

  Sojourning Sojourn: a temporary stay Hebrews 11: 8  “ By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 9  By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country , dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10  For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. ”      This indeed is a strange place.   I call my house T.L.A. or Temporary Living Accommodations.   In the Air Force, TLA housed those who were just passing through.   Like airman using the base as a skipping stone to get to their next assignment.   Hotels of sorts, they offered the comforts of home on a smaller scale.      We are a people set in Babylon.   Even in Sodom as we shut the doors as night.   This world so interferes wit...
