Faith Gives God Permission

Faith Gives God Permission

God is not a show boater.  He does not find satisfaction in showing off.  However, for our sakes, He requires an account that we may know the source of all good things.

In the last chapter of James, we see the elders gathering over one who is sick.  They anoint him with oil, and he is healed physically presumed.  Why the ceremony?  Because God knows we need to set things apart in our minds.  Glory is to be given to the One who saves.

In the garden, God gave Man the order of keeping the earth and having charge over her.  All authority was given to Adam.  He became the spiritual gateway.  In that position, he could permit or exclude God from His creation.  Did he want God’s help or did he want to do it on his own?  We read and find out that answer.

Spiritual permission.  God honors our sovereignty even today.  As not with a mothering country overstepping its bounds in lordship, He works with Man to gain access into a reasonable, symbiotic relationship.  Thus, it behooves us to accept the helping hand when it is offered.

Faith is the acceptance of God at His word.  That is why it was such a big thing with Abram.  Noah likewise.  They put all their money on the board just because God said so.  Just believing God’s promises is where He wants us to be.  Faith drives out fear.  He knows fear wrecks us.  Our beings were never meant to succumb to fear.  It causes cancer and a pithing away from our inner core.

Spiritual law dictates God’s hand be tied if Man refuses.  He is therefore looking for a few good men because that is all He needs.  His power is so great!  If the door is opened, His blessings rain down a thousand generations.
