W.A.M.M.

     We are to reject one out of the fellowship if he repeatedly causes dissensions and divisions. So I struggled with this one.  If you grew up in the Cvrk household, you would have been schooled in WAMM.  “Aw Dad!  You might get in trouble for that!”

     I made it up.  White American Male Month.  Sounds like we should wear pointy white hats to celebrate the occasion.  But it was an ongoing joke.  I even debated about buying the boys matching T-shirts with the acronym proudly embossed.  Never went that far and why?  I didn’t want to cause trouble.

     Yet, WAMM makes perfect sense.  In America we have much to owe to those and their families that put their blood on the line that we might severe from England and establish our own autonomy.  “I regret I have but one life to give for my country.”  I think all the signers of the Declaration were White American Males.  Well, let’s break it down:

     White – I think most were from European descent.  That means they knew where they came from and what was at stake.  I mean, you don’t just jump into a revolution without counting the costs.  Europe had been plenty bloody and these personages knew their ill history.

     American – I am proud to be an American.  I’ve been to other nations and I think they don’t add up.  Not because I was born in Onawa, Iowa, I just appreciate the freedom we have here.  I can drive from New York to L.A., crossing many state lines and codes without showing my papers.  To flip these out at the borders would be retarded, literally.  Can you imagine stopping on the interstate in a single file line just to say, “Please may I enter your state?”  Dumb.  So I am thankful our Founding Fathers had insight to draw up a paper that would grow as our great country grew.  They planted the seed.  All else that followed was to replicate in accordance with its prime root of freedom.  Next,

     Male -  Do I take punches here?  Am I satisfied with the gender I am?  Oh quite yes!  I accept my job in my family, community, church, and nation.  As a grown man, I exert my influence my “maleness” or “manness” has earned me.  There is a difference between Grandma and Grandpa, just ask our grandkids.  Males have a special calling in society more than reproducers.  We men are called to be the initiators, the drivers, the motivators, the ones who call out and confront to death even.  We fight in battles.  We win the peace.  We storm Normandy and kiss the wives at home.  Wow!  Don’t ever be ashamed to be male.  Did God screw up?

     Month -  What other than July?  We just happen to celebrate with loud things most boys are known for.  We blow up stuff and let everyone know we are not afraid.  King George beware!  So July is the perfect month.

     I would that I could but I can’t so I won’t.  I won’t apologize.  I sure do love those men who risked their lives so I could do more than eat my chicken fried.  They gave their all that I may love my wife and children in a free state we call Our America.

She Doesn’t Tell You That You Are Loser Grace:  The incredible pink cushion between your screwed up decisions and the ramifications wrought by them.
