Navigating The Straits Of Bosphorus

The Straits Of Bosphorus
Daily I seek to trade. Dangerously I chose the way. Skill upon the wheel, I jump left to right in
vision to avoid obstacles. I want to
hurt no one, and I desire to keep my cargo sure. How can I get this load its way when the
dangers threaten?
God calls it love. He has put in us His Perfect. We work in refinement daily to express Him
through our visages and manners. Will we
scrape the bow upon the rocks? Will our
face turn sour with cursing upon our brother?
Or will we come hither to the point of deposit?
See, God offers us no easy way. This life we have chosen requires
sacrifice. A diligence about the wheel
and a careful watch starboard to port.
In the ripple of the current, will we capsize small boats in the undertow
of our wake?
Relationships are hard. Good kinds require upstart energy and maintenance. A captain keeps his vessel of himself. He carries what is entrusted him. He sails.
Navigating pitfalls of the day, he comes to the ports of entry. Interfacing as he does, the Spirit conveys or
disembarks. He cannot help but influence
those about.
I will today steady my ship. I will steer the course. I will to hurt no one. I will succeed.
