From Them To Theirs

From Them To Theirs

Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

Ephesians 3:Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

Inclusion is the buzzword today in America.  Like playing with a big ball of playdough, all little lumps are formed into the whole.  In the end, one cohesive mass is wanted.  But as we know, there are always some pieces that have sat out too long.  As a result, the dried parts do not adhere to the rest, and we end with a chunky clump resisting play.

For thousands of years, we were the dried ones.  Lacking the Spirit of God, we were never incorporated into the aggregation of Israel.  They were brought together, unified by covenant while we outsiders did our thing in idolatry.  We just didn’t fit.

Perhaps we do not realize the incredible work of Christ having made those far come near.  Like scraps of reds and blues, thoroughly baked by neglect and time, we lay on the table untouched by the Master’s playing fingers.  Gentiles we were called.  The uncircumcision having no part with the Chosen.  Then with the blood of the cross, He softened us and made us pliable adhering to the Promise found in Him.

The Spirit of Christ is everything.  You either have it or you don’t.  When He poured it down upon all flesh, He held nothing back.  Suddenly all men and women could enjoy the great inclusion of God.  His Spirit so wetted our hearts enabling us to join together as one.

Ephesians 1:Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

God likes playdough.  He enjoys working with Man forming him, pressing him through molds, revealing His glory, and then starting over again.  His desire is that no color or nation be excluded from His playing table.

Revelation 7:14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

He has purposed the Church in inclusion.  From every tribe, tongue, and people His chosen are called.  Once the outcast, now we possess the Kingdom.  At the end, one color we will share and our praise will unite.
