In The Abundance Of Time
In The Abundance Of Time
473,040 hours.
Will I say I was too busy? Fifty-four years gives total time. I want to pay attention. Someone move me from the back of the
class. Too many distractions. I want to see the board clearly. Our Teacher moves with fluidity; I want to
miss nothing.
Oh, I could stay back making spit wads and
shooting them at Suzy. My friend Frank
could tell me jokes. Together we would
laugh each other right into an ‘F.”
Except with this class, there is no chance in taking it again.
Will He yell? Separate us?
In discipline, will He strike us?
I haven’t pushed that envelope. I
just know I want to leave the old.
Matthew 11:27 “All things are
delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father;
neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the
Son will reveal him.28 Come
unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon
you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall
find rest unto your souls.”
Learn what? It is clear here that Jesus talked of
revelation. Forgiving sinners only opened
the door. The riches of His palace awaited
those who stepped in. He knew His Father was
boundless. Introducing Him to the world
was His precipice. He climbed to get all
our attention. Standing at the top, He
gloried through conquering giving honor above.
Jesus’ main
mission was to tell us of the Father. A sacrifice
of sins was just a speed bump in His three-year ministry. It caused Him to slow down but He accelerated
on. The Word so revealed the mind of our
God. In Him we find eternity reaching
forever in all ways in time.
Time. What our Lord dedicated to His God. Three years of revelation. What am I to do with my time?
