Wichita
Wichita
Man, doesn’t this get complicated! The indigenous peoples of the Wichita tribe
were said to be caught up in animism.
Descended from Japheth, certainly they strayed far from the true source
of life. Warped beliefs got them worshipping rocks, trees, and regarding all
sacred having a soul. It doesn’t stop
there. What did they do with their
children? Sacrifice? I don’t know.
I didn’t bother to investigate. I
heeded the warning.
Revelation 2:24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira,
as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of
Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
Some things aren’t worth checking
out. Darkness is only a vacuum demanding
more and enticing wasted efforts in understanding. What profits in time spent away from the Word? Yes, not all reading sources need to be the
scriptures, but those things consumed should prompt us back to the truth. A good test.
Does this compel me to research the Word for answers? If the tendency is to seek a human’s opinion,
maybe the draw is perverted.
Moths burn. Flying to a false light, they cannot
resist. It is not the moon. Guidance takes them circling until wings are
seared and body engulfed. Please examine
your influences.
He gave the Holy Word for a reason. In it we find His mind and soul. Empowered with this understanding, we can
move mountains of doubt. Laying the
foundation of faith for little ones coming after, we can build magnificently. So, how is our time
spent?
The National Enquirer draws
attention. At the
grocery store, its cover shouts bastardized truths tantalizing an audience dripping
with syrupy gossip. Not to stoop that
lowly? How about Facebook? A continual stream of images and comments
keep our eyes busy and distracted from surrounding reality.
Anything plus the Bible be bad? No, priorities must be realized. His Word in various forms is to surround
us. Not carried away in worldly pursuits,
contentment must emanate from our being as we profess to have it figured
out. If we lack, seek purpose in His
Word.
Wichita.
They are a bygone people overcome by others seeking land with Bibles in
their hands. Blood won the rights and
forced them up like a sore cancered weed.
Not to say the extraction tool was sanitized. It just happened that way.
God loves the ignorant. Jesus died for all. No matter what you worship, the God of Jesus
will show mercy if you turn. It is His
undeniable character. How willing His is
to educate! Truths invested mean a
closeness to Him. Indigenous peoples
often lack. They fill this overwhelming need with what they see transposed into
imagined spiritual beings. Danger is met when they dance with the counterfeit.
Satanic beings wear smiley faces and so deceive.
Thy Word is truth. Without it, we have no hope. We have fallen. Now knowing evil, we must use the rule book
to avoid temptations. Educated
discernment keeps our hands free to do Thy work. Unless we harness our power, we build Babel
in vanity.
Wichita bears witness. Unless founded upon the Word that lasts
forever, our accomplishments dry and are blown away by the wind of change.
