No Surprises

No Surprises

Rain on the living room window just as she said.  Time is measured change.  Where there is no change, there is no time.  God never changes.  He is above time since it is His creation.

Before the garden, He ordained time and commissioned her to scribe the change He commenced for our good.  Upon a written record, we delve in to understand His dance with this elusive thing.  However, take to account He is the one who leads.  Time simply follows His steps.

Wouldn’t we all like to know the future?  Taking all fear and anxiety away, seeing beyond the bend would certainly be our fix, right?  Hardly.  God knows.  He holds our frailty as feathers in a breeze.  He rewards those who diligently seek Him.  Hence, He uncovers mysteries for those in deep standing with Him.  Willing to traverse the river, a firm footing given only to those who have left the bank in faith.

What we cannot see as we look up.  Glory comes down when we take our eyes off our path.  What rocks or holes lie, we cannot tell.  Only hear His voice and walk straight towards.  He said to enter the straight gate.  The broad pathway leads to destruction.  But He calls.  He illuminates another Way off the indulgent deluge of self into the chasm.  Here He meets us.

He knows our future.  What this day holds lies beyond our sight.  We take comfort in plans.  An ordering of time like she is to be mastered by our frailty.  She simply records.  God determines causes and effects then subsequent tracks are laid thereupon.  We worship her as a material force ignorantly giving her the glory due Another.  We fail.

Tuesday.  March 4, 2025.  I am but a man caught in this machine.  Birth I celebrate and death I exonerate.  He does not come with threat.  Liberation shall see me with wings.  At a time determined by Him and at its appointment, I shall be lifted up.  Joined together never to be severed.  He raises up telling of hope which will become sight.

No surprises.  Lord, please help me lift my eyes to Heaven.  Many trials stumble my feet.  However, my help comes from over those hills.  Keep my head up as I cross to my final destination with You.
